Mildred M. Jensen, age 88, of 1345 Michigan Ave SW, Huron, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the Huron Nursing Home. Mildred M. Jensen, age 88, of 1345 Michigan Ave SW, Huron, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the Huron Nursing Home. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Monday, March 31, 2008 at the Salvation Army with Captains Gerry and Donna Loos officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Monday morning at the Salvation Army. Mildred Jensen was born Mildred Mercades Munion on May 27, 1919, to Guy Roscoe and Gladys C. (Mates) Munion at De Smet, SD. On June 18, 1938, Mildred married Ralph Hans Jensen in De Smet, SD. They lived in Huron their entire married life. She was a member of the Salvation Army and (Home League) for over 50 years. And also the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved her children and grandchildren very much, her doll collection and knick knacks everyone gave her. She enjoyed taking pictures with a Polaroid camera and watching them develop. She is survived by four sons, Richard L. of Roseburg, OR, Kenny E., Ronald M. (Bonnie), and Jerry F. (Gloria); 1 daughter, Alice (Mike) Waldner, all of Huron; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; one brother Earl (Lee), of Oregon; one sister, Betty Jansen of Osakis, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and four brothers. Casket bearers will be her family: Richard, Josh, Jeremiah, Jake, Bret, and Monte. Honorary casket bearers will be Tiffaney, Jennifer, Amy and Amanda.
