Mike Wipf, age 79, of Spink Colony, passed away peacefully at his home on November 20, 2010.
His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Spink Colony with burial in the Spink Colony Cemetery.
Mike Wipf was born February 11, 1931, at Bonhomme Colony near Tabor, SD, to Daniel and Anna (Waldner) Wipf.
In 1945, he moved to Spink Colony.
He married Dora Kleinsasser on April 30, 1978.
He worked in the shoe shop from age 15 till 3 months before his death. He was known by all as someone who could fix or repair anything. He was also a Chicken Boss for over 21 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared Michaels life are his loving wife for over 32 years, Dora; one son, Darius (Jolene) Wipf of Spink Colony; three grandchildren Derias, Kara, and Damaris; brother, Paul (Bertha) of Spink; three sisters, Margaret (John) of Big Stone, Katherina and Mary of Maxwell; sister-in-law, Lina and Anna of Heartland, Susanna of Plainview; and his mother-in-law, Rebecca Kleinsasser.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers, Joseph (Mary), Daniel, Jacob (Katie), John, David; two sisters, Anna (Paul), Elizabeth (John); brother-in-laws, Eli, Paul, Joe, John; and father-in-law, Paul Kleinsasser.
