Mary Helen Kuni, 71, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, December 26, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

Mary was born August 7, 1952, to Robert and Helen Kuni. She attended school in the Huron Public Schools. She was employed for several years at Lyda's Hobby Shop, then at the Plainsman, Hardees, and Pizza Hut. She has lived for the last twenty years in homes run by the Center for Independence, most recently at Butler House and Lincoln House.

Mary is survived by her sister Kathy, niece Caitlin Bowra (George), grandnephew Forrest, great friends Chris and Kerry Hofer, Paula Kingery, many loving cousins and her CFI family and friends.  A private family service will be held on Thursday, January 4, with burial at St. Martin Cemetery in Huron.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Mary's honor to the Center for Independence, Huron, South Dakota.
