Mary K. Fogg, age 99, of Huron, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Avantara Huron.

Her Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron, with burial at the St. Martins Cemetery in Huron.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Mary Kathleen Hatcher the daughter of Bert and Rose (Leifer) Hatcher, was born on January 8, 1922 in Huron.  She attended St. Therese Catholic School, and graduated from Huron High School in 1941.  Mary worked as a waitress in Rapid City, where she met Charles R. Fogg. They eloped to Sundance, Wyoming and wed on August 30, 1942. They made their home in Huron. She worked as a waitress at a restaurant downtown, then as a grocery checker at Council Oak, until it closed.

Mary began working for J.C. Penney's downtown as a stockroom clerk from 1957 to 1978. Then, at the mall store from 1978 until 1985 taking early retirement at age 63.

Mary was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron, member of Degree of Honor, volunteered for RSVP, Catholic Daughters of America and VFW Auxiliary.  Mary enjoyed sewing, and cross stitching. Her leisure time was spent relaxing and watching television.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Anne of Huron; a niece in New Jersey and two nephews in Wisconsin and Washington.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother Rose; infant sister Bernice, brother Paul (who died at 18), brother John (Emily), ex-husband Charles, her father Bert, brother James (Joanne) and sister Esther (Jim) MacMillan.
