Mary Vey Erling, age 56, of 1350 Campbell Drive, Huron, SD, died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at her home in Huron, SD.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 - 8 p.m. at the Welter Funeral Home with the family present from 6 - 8 p.m.; or Wednesday morning one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mary Vey Hall was born on April 14, 1953, to Charles David and Claire Janette (Shultner) Hall at Huron, SD. She attended school in Huron and graduated from Huron High School.
Mary married Steve A. Glaesman on May 9, 1969. On March 27, 1985, Mary married Ernest H. Butch Erling at Mesa, AZ and they have lived in Huron since that time.
Mary was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron and the Huron Area Master Gardeners Club. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, her time in Mesa AZ, and spending time with her family and friends.
Grateful for having shared in Marys life; are her son, Charles Jozef (Natalie Wipf) Erling of Huron, SD; her two daughters, Amy (Dallas) Almond of Huron, and April (Jayson) Drake of Tea, SD; her five grandchildren, Whitney, Macey, and Ayden Almond of Huron, SD, and Matthew and Dawson Drake of Tea, SD; her sister Janie (Verlyn) Hines of Cedar Rapids, IA; and her nieces, Terri Huff, and Trisha (Evan) Paul, both of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Butch in 2008.
