Mary Eining, age 83, of Huron, SD, died Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Iroquois with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m.; or Monday afternoon one hour prior to the service at the church. Mary Eining was born Mary Agnes Marsh on August 15, 1928, to Francis and Lurena (Currier) Marsh in Yale, SD. She graduated from Yale High School in 1946. She attended colleges at Huron, Madison, and Spearfish, graduating with a teaching certificate, and then taught school for a few years. Mary married William Edward Eining at St. William's Catholic Church, north of Yale, SD, on October 29, 1949. To this union 10 children were born. She is survived by 10 children, Bill (Janice) Eining of Huron, SD, Sandi (Marlen) Winter of St. Lawrence, SD, Greg Eining of St. Lawrence, SD, Kim (Becky) Eining of Channahon, IL, Sharon (Bruce Heitman) Eining of Sioux Falls, Traci (Bryan) Flanigan of Urbandale, IA, Steve Eining of Iroquois, SD, Joe (Maria) Eining of Dell Rapids, SD, Keith (Jodie) Eining of Dell Rapids, SD, and Lori (Jamie) Reetz of Webster, SD; 29 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren;1 great great grandchild; 1 sister, Ruth Hornig of Huron; 3 sisters-in-law, JoAnn Poppen of Granite Bay CA, Betty Schell of Tracy, CA, and Marlene Eining of Napa, CA, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Bill on February 20, 2011; 1 grandson, Jeremiah Eining; and 1 brother, Een Marsh.
