Marvin Eid, age 75, of Huron, died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the Wright Nursing Home at Fairborn, Ohio. His funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Welter Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Brandsrud officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM or Saturday until the time of service at the Welter Funeral Home. Marvin Fred Eid was born on July 8, 1931, to Martin F. Ohlhauser and Elizabeth Wohl at Braddock, North Dakota but later was adopted by John Eid. He was raised in Killdeer, ND and lived most of his life in North and South Dakota. He attended schools at Killdeer, ND and Huron High School. On February 25, 1965, Marvin married Margaret Scotter at Brookings, SD. He lived in Huron for more than 40 years and has spent the last 3 months in Ohio with his daughter Penny Lindsey. In August 1980, Marvin graduated from the Mitchell Area Vocational Technical School for commercial baking. He was a carpet installer and a baker for many years. One of Marvins favorite activities was listening to music and dancing. He had purchased over 1,000 record albums over the years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his son, Guyman Eid of Sioux Falls; 2 daughters, Gayla Eid of Aberdeen, and Penny Lindsey of Dayton, OH; 2 grandchildren, Jordan Stahl and Connor Lindsey; 2 sisters. Virginia Hitchrick of West Linn, OR and Genevieve (Jen) Jacobs of Bedford, TX; and 1 brother Elmer Ohlhauser of Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Leonel Ohlhauser, Raymond Ohlhauser and Albert Ohlhauser and 1 sister, Arlene Grayson.
