His burial service will be 1:30 PM on Tuesday, February 6, 2017 at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Marvin was born on February 16, 1937 in White, SD to Claus and Jennie (Hendricks) DeLong. He attended country school in the White area and attended Marshall School near Hitchcock, SD. Marvin was one of twelve children.

Marvin worked for Weber Grill in Wood Dale, Illinois for many years. Marvin enjoyed yard work and fishing north of Huron on the James River.

Marvin is survived by his children: Mary DeLong and Marvin DeLong Jr. both of Illinois; his brother, Claus (Junior) DeLong of Huron; and several nieces and nephews.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and seven brothers.
