Marjorie Tibbetts, age 71, of De Smet and formerly of Cavour, Huron and Miller, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at the Sanford USD Medical Center at Sioux Falls. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 2nd at the Welter Funeral Home with Rev. Kathy Hibbert officiating. Burial will be at LeSueur Cemetery at Bancroft. Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening or Monday until the time of service at the Welter Funeral Home with the family present from noon until the time of service. Marjorie Lou Tibbetts was born on February 1, 1936, to Donald and Ruth (Clement) Tibbetts at Huron. She attended grade school in the Bancroft Independent school district. She lived in Bancroft until 1956 when she moved with her parents to Pierre where she worked as a child care provider and also worked in a Pierre restaurant. In 1979, Marjorie moved with the family to Cavour and then in 1989 to Huron. In 1998, she moved to Courtyard Villa in Miller and in April 2001 she entered the De Smet Good Samaritan nursing home. She loved her family and friends and always looked forward to their visits. She is survived by 1 son, Barry Tibbetts of Pierre; a grandson, Kyle Tibbetts of Pierre; 2 sisters, LaVaye (Lowell) Dubro of rural Iroquois and Charlene Danilko of Luverne, MN; 2 brothers, LaVerne (Twila) Tibbetts of Blue Earth, MN, and Donald (Brenda) Tibbetts Jr. of Sioux Falls; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth on February 20, 1990, her father Donald on November 24, 2006, an infant brother, Craig in 1946, a niece Laurie Dubro in 1970, and 2 brothers-in-law, Ed Danilko and Harvey Hoffer.
