Marjorie Hart was born Marjorie Loraine Torgrud on December 24, 1920, to Edward and Selma (Domagala) Torgrud at Huron, SD. She attended school in Huron and graduated from Huron High School. During World War II Marjorie worked for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. On April 17, 1945, Marjorie married Virgil Hart at Huron. Together they purchased a farm near Huron where they lived for several years. They returned to Huron and purchased a home. She was a stay-at-home mother who contributed to the household income by phoning volunteer firemen. They later moved outside the city limits and together owned and operated Lakeside Greenhouse for many years. After Virgils death in 1968, Marjorie worked at Newberrys lunch counter, and later at the Tschetter-Hohm Clinic. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed baking and sewing for her children, vegetable and flower gardening, and sharing time with neighbors in conversation. She took great joy in teaching her grandchildren how to fish, and volunteered her time to help with church activities and events. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, and all five of Marjories children attended Catholic School when it was called St. Theresas. The legacy of her faith, love and family that she left behind will last throughout their lifetime. She is survived by 5 children, David (Norma) Hart of Huron, Dennis (Patsy) Hart of Bellevue, NE, Judy (Robert) Overbay of Aberdeen, SD, and Mary Jane (Mark) Judy of Davenport, IA, and Doug (Jackie) Hart of Huron; 1 sister, Katherine Hoffman of Huron; 8 grandchildren, Jeff Hart, Chad Hart, Loree Hart, Jennifer Hart, Jonathan Hart, Christopher Hart, Tiffany Judy, and Michaela Overbay; and 4 great grandchildren, Joseph Hart, Thomas Hart, Bryan Hart, and Carson Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil on September 3, 1968; and 1 grandson, Michael Hart, December 15, 1992.
