Marisol "Mari" Corona Lopez, age 16, of Huron, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2012, at the Sanford (USD) Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2012, at the Welter Funeral Home with burial at St. Martin Cemetery in Huron. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, October 18, at Welter Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Thursday; or one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Marisol "Mari" Corona Lopez, daughter of Josefina Corona Lopez, was born on May 19, 1996, in Michoacn, Mexico, and was confirmed and baptized. Mari attended elementary school and the Huron High School. Mari was a hard worker and worked for LSI in Alpena, SD. Mari was a member of the Huron Drama Class. She was an amazing artist and a good friend to many. She was an excellent big sister and loved her family very much. She enjoyed cooking and loved her dog, "Monster" immensely. Mari found beauty in everything and loved life. One of her last postings on Facebook read, "Such a pretty day!". Grateful for having shared in Marisol's life are her mother, Josefina Corona Lopez and dad, Jon Wells, of Huron, SD; four brothers, Marcos, Alex, Edgar, and Oscar Cruz; grandparents, Reina Corona of California and Dee and Russ Lenning of Huron, SD; three uncles, Mingo Corona of Huron, SD, and Sergio and Marco Corona of Chicago, IL; her aunt, Marcela Chavez of California; and many friends.
