Marilyn Glee Rogers, age 98 of Chandler, AZ, and formerly of Huron, SD passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Park Senior Villa in Chandler, AZ. Her Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron, SD with burial at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Our mother, Marilyn Glee Snyder, was born in Huron, South Dakota on February 15, 1925, to John Francis Snyder and Bessie Claire Ruggles and died at age 98 in Arizona, on July 8, 2023, after a brief illness.

Mom was raised in Huron during the "dirty 30's" learning how to "pinch a penny."  She co-owned Larry's Drive-in Liquor in Huron for 20 years. Prior to marriage she worked at Northwestern Bank in Huron as a teller.

She graduated from Huron High School and met her sweetheart, Laurrell Clarence Rogers in high school and was engaged before he enlisted in the Navy.

After the war, Mom married Dad on June 16, 1946, and had three children, Roxey Ann Kutil (Jerry)(deceased), Randy Lee Rogers (Jan) of Lindon, Utah, and Susan Marie Yakus (Ron) of Queen Creek, Arizona. She has eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Laurrell, her daughter Roxey, and all her brothers and sisters.

We wish to thank all her caregivers, Doreen Boomsma, Janice Frey and Park Senior Villas.

We will miss you, but look forward to reuniting with you again, Mom.
