Marilyn Heller, age 80 of Huron, SD, formerly of Wolsey passed away, Saturday, February 11, 2017.

Funeral Service for Marilyn will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, February 17 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Huron, with visitation one-hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Wessington Cemetery.

Marilyn was born February 17, 1936 to Frederick and Agnes (Nettinga) Klicker at Wolsey.  Marilyn was born on one of the coldest days on record for South Dakota, her father had to go to town with his horse and sleigh to bring home the doctor, for her birth.

Marilyn was raised in the Wolsey area, where she lived almost her entire life, only recently moving to Huron.  She graduated from Wolsey High School in 1954.

Marilyn married Lee Heller on April 17, 1955 in Wolsey.  After high school Marilyn attended Northwest College of Commerce.   She then worked at National Bank of South Dakota for two years, H&H Trucking, the Rollin Wheel Restaurant, Beadle County Nutrition at the Wolsey Senior Center for 28 years, but her main job farm wife, bookkeeper, mother and grandmother.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, Doug (Linda) Heller, Huron, Craig (Joletta) Heller, Wolsey, and Dale (Lori) Heller, Huron; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Mitch) Croatt, Greensboro, NC, Alexandra Heller, Tucson, AZ, Kristina Heller, Woodbridge, VA, Cami Mercado, Edmunds, OK, Jon (Jodi) Heller, Colorado Springs, CO, Caitlin (Nicholas) Ekren, Big Lake, MN, and MiKayla (Colton Ketelhut) Heller, Brookings and Vermillion; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Mavis (Ron) Bensley, Seattle, WA; sister-in-law, Denise Klicker; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Diane) Phillips, Jim Nielson, and Roy Mehling, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee Heller; brother, Christian Klicker; sisters-in-law, Sandy Nielson and Janet Mehling.
