Marilyn A. Frey, age 84, of Huron, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron. Her Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Marilyn Ann was born on March 21, 1939 to parents Herman and Clara (Madsen) Frey in Watertown, South Dakota.

Marilyn was a part of the Center for Independence Family for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, word search puzzles, pencil collecting, latchwork, and collecting jewelry. She loved to watch television, especially westerns. She liked to go out shopping and out to eat. Marilyn enjoyed her sister-in-law Janice's fudge at Christmas time.

She is survived by her siblings, Erwin (Colleen) Frey of Sioux Falls, Chuck (Rosie) Frey of Virginia, Larry (Janice) Frey of Huron, Clarice (Delvin) Jacobson of Rapid City, and Arlys Schlimgen of Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews and her friends at Center for Independence/Butler House.

She was preceded by her parents, brothers: Donald, Melvin, Bill and Harlan, sisters: Anita and Kathi.
