A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on May 26th at 2pm at Welter Funeral Home with burial at Riverside Cemetery followed by a picnic reception at Memorial Park.


Marilyn Anderson, age 82, of Omaha, and formerly of Huron, passed away on April 14, 2018 at Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha.

Marilyn Ann Schultz was born February 12, 1936 to Glenn and Dorothy (Smith) Schultz in Huron, SD.

She graduated from Huron High School and later obtained her LPN degree.

She married Glen Anderson on May 9, 1953 and lived mainly in the Huron area.

Marilyn held many roles throughout her life, including mother, homemaker, nurse's aide, sign language interpreter, and LPN.

Upon retirement she moved to Omaha to enjoy her retirement years with family.

Marilyn is survived by daughters, Tamara (Paul) Pickering, Sandra (Rod) Sammons, and Lisa (Ed) Fletcher; twelve grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Dick Hesse.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glen (1988); daughters Deborah (2014) and Paula (1956); son Jon (1963); sisters Bev and Donna; and her parents.
