Marjorie A. Pullman, age 98, of Spearfish and formerly of Wolsey, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Avantara-Huron in Huron, South Dakota. Her public funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huron. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 19, from 4-6 PM at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Her funeral service will also be live-streamed at the St. John's Lutheran Church Website.

Marjorie was born on March 17, 1923 to Daniel D. and Mary R. (Hofer) Schmeichel at Lake Byron Township. She attended school in Lake Byron Township. On April 2, 1947, Margie married Joseph P. Pullman. They settled on the Schmeichel family farm North of Huron, S.D. They farmed south of Lake Byron for 4 years and then in 1951 they moved to a farm NE of Wolsey. They retired from the farm in 1978 and moved into Wolsey.

Margie then helped out with her sons' businesses, The Capricorn and Pullman Drilling. Margie was a very active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hershman-Gordon American Legion Post #59 Auxiliary and the Wolsey Senior Center. She loved to garden, raise house plants, baking, quilting blankets, playing BINGO, and going for walks to the Wolsey Senior Center.

Margie is survived by one son, Lannie Pullman of Wolsey; one daughter, Delcinnie (David) Wientjes of Spearfish; one daughter-in-law, Helen Pullman of Wolsey; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Martha Schmeichel and Lila Hofer, both of Huron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph in 2007; two sons, Jeraine on June 4, 2000 and Raynie on June 30, 2004; and two brothers, Eldon Schmeichel and Daniel Schmeichel, Jr.; and one sister-in-law, Mary Schmeichel.
