Lynn S. Quam, age 76, of Huron, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Huron Regional Medical Center. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held during the Johnson Family Reunion on June 8th in De Smet, South Dakota.

Lynn Sharon Quam was born on September 25, 1947 in Tulare, California to parents Charles and Josie Burns. She went to school and graduated from Tulare High School in California. She made everyone smile that she met.

In 1997, she met Alan Quam and ran away to the carnival life with him. She worked just as hard as the young men at 50 years old. It made her feel free and young again and Alan was so proud of her. She is the only person Alan knew who won a car on "Let's Make a Deal." Lynn said she would never move to South Dakota with all the snow and below zero temperatures, but Lynn and Alan moved to Huron in 2002 and she came to love the state. Her husband will always remember that she saved his life and bacon many times. We will all see her in Heaven.

She is survived by her husband Alan Quam of Huron; her brother Chuck Burns of Rio Osos, CA; her daughter Marcie Lene Galloway-Geisler (Jim); two grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
