Lydia was born March 10, 1926 at Yankton, SD to Henry J.F. and Esther (Hein) Schraeder.  At a young age the family moved to the  Wessington Springs area, where she attended school.

After graduation, she married Merredis "Bud" Quiram on November 7, 1945.  Together they farmed in the Virgil area, where they raised their family.  After their career farming, they retired to the Alpena area, where they lived for many years.  After "Bud" passed away, Lydia moved to Huron.

On June 23, 2001, she married Marvin Beckler.

Lydia loved bowling, the Senior Olympic Games, fishing, gardening, and spending time with Marvin and her family.

Survivors include, her husband, Marvin Beckler, Huron; son, Gary (Karen) Quiram, Wolsey; grandsons, Austin (Annie) McKinney, Huron, David (Kathryn) Quiram, St. Louis, MO, Kyle Quiram, Mitchell, Ronald Quiram, Sioux Falls, SD and granddaughter, Stephanie Quiram; great-grandchildren, Ellee and Eastyn McKinney; her siblings, Josephine (Alex) Ikeda, Pahoa, HI, Ronald (Dorothy) Schraeder, Olympia, WA, Merle Schraeder, Brigham City, UT, Orval "Buzz" Schraeder, Brigham City, UT, Opal (Verl) Uthe, Colton, Marylin Simmons, Escondido, CA, Sylvia Schraeder, Las Vegas, NV, Gloria (Clarence) Uhing, Westpoint, NE, Sharon Jones, Southlake, TX, L. Russell (Susan) Schraeder, Brooklyn Center, MN, Luana (James) Scheele, Huron, Cheryl Schraeder, Zimmerman, MN, Susan Borszich, Minnetonkia, MN and many nieces and nephews.

Lydia was preceded in death by, her parents; husband, Merredis "Bud" Quiram; sons, Merredis "Mert" Quiram and Steven Quiram; one brother, Henry; and a brother and a sister in infancy.
