Lurean McKenna, age 67, of Huron died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at her son's home in Huron. Following her wishes her body was cremated and there will be no services at this time. Lurean Erickson was born on November 30, 1946, in Huron, to Andrew and Shirley (Weston) Erickson. She attended Huron schools and graduated from Huron High School in 1964. Lurean worked for the Huron Hospital for several years working her way up to being a surgical nurse. She later worked for the Huron Nursing Home. Lurean moved to San Jose, CA, in September 1974. Lurean married Mike McKenna in 1980 in San Jose, CA. She had various jobs in California, but her main job was raising her family. She returned to Huron in August 11, 2010. Lurean loved doing Crosswords, going to garage sales, baking, and watching Judge Judy. Lurean is survived by her husband, Mike McKenna of Bangor, CA; three sons, Steve Wipf of Huron, TJ (Sandy Duran) Seveland of Huron, and Jeff (Amber) Seveland of Stafford, VA; three grandchildren, Hanna, David, and Hailey Lane; six siblings, Lynn (Pat) Weston of Huron, Andrew Erickson of Huron, Peggy (Wes) Barnes of Rapid City, Larry (Wanda) Erickson of Sioux Falls, Vern (Norma) Erickson of Sioux Falls, and Lynnett (Bill) Gross of Huron; special niece and nephew, Stacy Lynn Barnes and Andrew "Guy" (Kitsey) Erickson. She was preceded in death by her parents.
