Lucille "Lucy" Ringheimer, age 98, of Huron, died Friday, October 24, 2014 at Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Huron with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday morning one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church and Huron Senior Center. Lucille was born on October 12, 1916 in Rockham, SD, to JE and Reva (Marshall) Lloyd. She was united in marriage to Earl Ringheimer on March 10, 1937in Pierre. They lived on their farm where Earl worked and Lucille worked at the local grocery store as a clerk and meat cutter. Lucille loved to serve others and volunteered for years with the Senior Center at the South Dakota State Fair and SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron where she resided. She loved to crochet and made many afghans for her grandchildren and great grandchildren that they continue to enjoy today. Lucille also designed and sewed a wedding dress and enjoyed collecting glass blue birds with the help of her great grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Nikki Evans of Huron; one son, Dennis (Charlene) Ringheimer of Laurel, MT; nine grandchildren, Russell Evans, Linda Evans, Nancy Houlihan, Frank Evans, Lisa McCrary, Craig Ringheimer, Lisa Barnes, Kim Weber, and Wanda Jo Ringheimer; 26 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; 1 grandson, John Evans; and a great grandson, Jason.
