Louie S. Busch, age 73, of Huron, SD, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at his home in Huron. His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron with burial at the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 20 at the Welter Funeral Home; or one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Louie S. Busch, the son of William H. and Neva (Holforty) Busch, was born on May 21, 1941 on the family farm near Huron, SD and attended school in the Huron area. Louie was a lifetime trucker, having driven over a million miles in his career. Louie drove truck for Richard Hiles Trucking, Zastrow Trucking, Johnson Sand and Gravel, and Parkhurst Trucking. After his retirement, Louie worked part time for Hiles Farms. Louie married Sharon Crandall-Hansen on December 16, 1972 in Huron, SD. The couple made their home in Huron. Louie loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and watching the wildlife in his backyard. He also liked to attend auctions and go junking. Louie loved spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren. Grateful for having shared in Louie's life are his wife, Sharon of Huron, SD son, Justin( Tasmah Taylor) Busch of Huron, SD; two daughters, Debra (David) Holmberg and Shellie (Bryan) Bretschneider, both of Norfolk, NE; step-son, David Hansen, of Huron, SD; two step-daughters, Laurie (Kerry) Nelson of Britton, SD and Lisa Hansen of Huron, SD; nineteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, James (Lillian) Busch of Alpena, SD; sister-in-law, Pam Fode of Wolsey, SD; three brothers-in-law: John Crandall of Huron, SD, Jeff Crandall of Springfield, SD, and Roger Weinmann of Lolo, MT; and several nieces and nephews. Louie was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Neva; and stepmother, Lucille; sister-in-law, Sandra Weinmann; brother-in-law, Jim Fode; and in-lawa, Raymond and Julia Crandall.
