Lois Early, age 96, of Chandler, AZ, formerly of Huron, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Horizon Bay-Chandler Assisted Living Facility in Chandler, AZ. Her wishes were to have her body cremated. Her graveside service at Riverside Cemetery will be 3:00 pm Thursday, October 17, 2013. Lois H. Tyrrell was born to Phillip and Rose (Feicke) Tyrrell on November 29, 1916 in Beadle Co. South Dakota. She attended rural country school in Beadle County. Lois married Fredrick Beck in 1936. They had one son, James, born in 1937. Lois and Fred owned a general store in Yale, SD, for several years. They moved to Chamberlain, SD, where they built and operated The Lake Shore Motel. The couple retired to Mesa, AZ due to Fred's declining health. He passed away in 1977. Lois married Neil Early in 1981 in Mesa. Lois was very fond of Neil's sons; Neil, Keith and their families. Neil died in 1997 At age 90, Lois decided to move into an asst. living apartment near her older sister Josephine, enjoying meeting many new friends. Earlier this year she moved into a higher level of care asst. living apartment. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Arline Tyrrel, Kimball, SD; nieces and nephews who are scattered in many states, and kept in touch with them all. Preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Fred Beck; second husband, Neil Early; her son James Beck in 2006, step sons, Neil and Keith Beck; two brothers, Maynard and Earl Tyrrel; four sisters, Edna Tyrrell, Muriel Peterson, Josephine Gaughran, and Marian Weber.
