Linda Kopfmann, 74, of Alpena, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family.

A celebration of Linda's life will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the Alpena Community Center in Alpena.

Linda Jean was born on April 18, 1952 in Huron to parents Arlo and Luella (Daleske) Longcor. Linda attended Virgil and Alpena schools, graduating in 1970 from Alpena High School.

She married Ronny Kopfmann in Alpena on June 18, 1972. Ronny and Linda lived on the family farm, raising their family.

Linda's greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild and nothing made her happier than a visit, a phone call, or simply hearing the voices of those she loved. She had a special way of making everyone feel important and never took a moment with her family for granted.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures—like watching all the old Elvis Presley movies, keeping up with her favorite soap operas, watching the chickens wander through the yard, and spending time with her faithful companion, Lucy, who was always close by her side. Her home was filled with love, laughter, and the comfort of familiar routines.

While her family will miss her more than words can express, they find peace in knowing that her greatest reunion has finally come. She is once again in the arms of the love of her life, her husband, Ronny; reunited after too many years apart, and with their beloved little dog, Lily, waiting to welcome her home. What a beautiful reunion that must have been.

Linda is survived by her children, Chad (Crystal) Kopfmann of Alpena, Jill (Scott) Larson of Woonsocket and Jennifer (Wes) Anderson of Alpena; 5 grandchildren, Ashlynn, Tailynn, Kelby, Tayton and Easton; and 1 great-granddaughter, Gracelynn; two step grandchildren, Lacey and Lucas.

Her sister, Connie (Ron) Muth of Wolsey and her aunt Geneva Plate of Huron; four brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Karen) Kopfmann of Alpena, Ivan Kopfmann of Alpena, Darwin (Terri) Kopfmann of Custer, and Paul (Ina) Kopfmann of Alpena; three sisters-in-law, Eldora Hasz, Vera Salter, Kathryn Larsen, all of Wessington Springs; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ronny.
