Leonard Woehl, age 66, of Huron, SD, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home in Huron, SD. His Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron, SD. Burial of his cremated remains will be held at Ellendale Cemetery in Ellendale, ND, at a later date. Memorial visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Leonard William Woehl, the son of William and Esther Ruth (Miller) Woehl, was born on April 17, 1947 in Fargo ND. Leonard worked for Olsen's Implement hauling machinery and driving truck. He also worked for various farms in Kansas. Leonard married Sheryl Landon on June 16, 1973 at the Kvernes Lutheran Church in Carrington, ND. Leonard was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed working on cars and making sure his car was spotless. Leonard's family was very important to him and he loved to spend time with his family and friends. Grateful for having shared in Leonard's life are his son, Aaron (Shauna) Woehl, of Springfield, OH; four grandchildren: Skyler, Gemma, Benji, and Trevor; Aaron's mother, Sheryl Woehl of Huron, SD ; brother, Loren Woehl, of Williford, AR; special friend, Joyce Hannon; and close friend Duane Engel. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, William and Esther; step-mother, Mary Lou Woehl; and a sister, Lucille Buerkle.
