Lenora E. Olson, age 91, of Huron, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Avantara Huron.

Her funeral service will be at 1 PM on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Welter Funeral Home with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation, with her family present will be from 11-1 on Friday, January 29 , at the funeral home. Her funeral service will be live-streamed on Welter Funeral Home Facebook Page.

Lenora Elizabeth Florance was born on March 2, 1929 in Huron to parents Raymond and Viola (Vance) Carpenter. She grew up in Alpena/Virgil area, graduating from Virgil High School in 1947.

Lenora married Verne Olson on March 21, 1948 in Huron. Lenora worked in physical therapy at St. John's Medical Center and the Helen Buchanan Wing at Buchanan School. She also worked for the Center for Independence and Home Health.

Lenora enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing BINGO and was active in the Huron Birthday Club.

She is survived by her sons, Lanny (Cheri), Robin, and Randy (Jeanne) Olson, all of Huron; 5 grandchildren, Tony (Jamie) Olson, Brad (Nalyna) Olson, Jennifer (Brandon) Marthaller, Brittany Olson, and Zachary Olson; 9 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Ethan, Matthew, Michael, Julie, Kayleigh, Mylee, Eleanora, and Elaina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2007; and 4 sisters.
