Lee A. Heller, 80, Wolsey, SD died Friday, August 19, 2016 at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron.

Funeral Services for Lee will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, August 26 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Huron, with visitation one-hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at the Wessington Cemetery.

Lee A. Heller was born November 20, 1935 to LeGrand and Evelyn (Rowen) Heller in Payette, Idaho.  Lee was raised in the Wessington and Wolsey areas, attending Whiteside Township, Franklin School Wessington Township and graduating from Wessington High School in 1954.

Lee married Marilyn Klicker on April 17, 1955 in Wolsey.  They then began their life together farming from 1955-2005.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting deer and pheasants.  Lee was also active in the community serving 15 years on the Wolsey School Board, Presbyterian Church Elder for two years, member of the Lions Club and 20-year member of the Wolsey Senior Citizens Center. Lee was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Huron.

Lee is survived by his wife, Marilyn, Huron; sons, Doug (Linda) Heller, Huron, Craig (Joletta) Heller, Wolsey, and Dale (Lori) Heller, Huron; seven grandchildren, Jenny (Mitch) Croatt, Greensboro, NC, Matthew (Veronica) Heller, Florence AL., Kristy Heller, Woodbridge, VA, Cami Mercado, Edmunds, OK, Jon (Jodi) Heller, Colorado Springs, CO, Caitlin (Nicholas) Ekren, Big Lake, MN, and Mikayla (Colton Ketelhut) Heller, Brookings and Vermillion; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Diane) Phillips, Wessington, brothers-in-law, Jim Nielson, and Roy Mehling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, LeGrand "Jack" Heller and Evelyn Phillips; step-father, Lloyd Phillips; sisters, Sandy Nielson and Janet Mehling.
