Lavonne Louise Luellman, age 61, of Huron, SD, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Huron Regional Medical Center.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey with burial at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, September 9, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Lavonne Louise Jungemann, the daughter of Gerhardt and Lorraine (Horn) Jungemann, was born on September 24, 1954 at St. John's Hospital in Huron, SD.  She attended schools in Bonilla, SD and graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1972. After high school, Lavonne attended Nettleton College in Sioux Falls, SD for a time before joining the U.S. Army.  Lavonne was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1977. She also served in the Army National Guard for several years.  She then attended the Northwest College of Commerce in Huron.

Lavonne married Robert Luellman in January of 1975 in Kansas, and to this union were born two children, Kris and Dawn.  Lavonne worked for Community First Bank of Huron, Under the Sun Rentals, and ran a Daycare Center out of her home for many years.  She finished her career as a Para-educator for Buchanan Elementary School in Huron.  Lavonne was also a Foster Parent for many years.

Lavonne was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey where she taught Bible school for many years.  She was also a member of Family Child Care Professionals of South Dakota.  Lavonne enjoyed doing crafts. She also worked for Dakota Promotions and at the South Dakota State Fair.  Lavonne loved kids and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared in Lavonne's life are her son, Kris (Becky) Luellman of Yankton, SD and their children: Kieren, Kaden, Kaylor, and Kash Luellman ; daughter, Dawn Luellman of Huron, SD, and  her children: Jadayah, Devante, Quinston, and Aryanna Luellman; foster daughters, Nikkeya and Nikkita; mother Lorraine Jungemann; two  brothers, Lester (Shelly) Jungemann of Wolsey, SD, and Rod (Lynette) Jungemann also of Wolsey, SD; sister, Ronda (Shane) Price of Huron, SD; her aunt, Geraldine (Vernon) Kahre of Huron, SD;ex sister-in-law and special friend, Elaine Jungemann; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Lavonne was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Gerhardt "Louie" Jungemann; brother, Wesley, in infancy; her uncle, Harley "Pete" Jungemann; and aunt, Hazel (Harry) Haeder.

Pallbearers will be: Devante Luellman, Kieren Luellman, Kaden Luellman, Brad Jungemann, Nathan Price, and Dustin Price.

Honorary pallbearers are: Jadayah Luellman, Quinston Luellman, Aryanna Luellman, Kaylor Luellman, Kash Luellman, Jean Jungemann, and Melissa Jungemann.
