Laura Lynn Feldman, age 41 of Huron, SD, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at her home in Huron after a courageous battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Laura's Life  will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron, SD, with a prayer service to begin at 4 p.m.  Burial will be held at a later date.

Laura L. Feldman, the daughter of Kenneth and Jan (Kjersten) Feldman, was born on July 14, 1976 in Montevideo, MN.  In 1984 Laura and her family moved to South Dakota where she attended school and graduated from Wessington High School in 1995.  Laura worked as a Registrar for the Girl Scouts from 1999 until 2007. In 2007, Laura began working as dispatcher for People's Transit until 2011.

Laura was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America. Laura loved horseback riding and her dogs.  Her family was the most important thing in the world to her and she loved being Mom to her two sons, Payne and Cody.  She also loved to crochet and made beautiful blankets for her boys.  Laura loved to laugh and have fun and was always ready for a new adventure.

Grateful for having shared in Laura's life are her two sons, Payne and Cody Feldman of Huron, SD, her mother, Jan Feldman of Sioux Falls, SD; father, Ken Feldman of Minnesota; two brothers, Rick Feldman of Renville, MN and Chad Feldman of Ipswich, SD; sister, Carie (Levi) Fry and family of Woonsocket, SD; her two nieces, Halie and Samantha Feldman of Ipswich, SD; uncle, Terry (Mary) Kjersten of Sacred Heart, MN; three aunts: Barb Kjersten of Granite Falls, MN, Elaine (Jim) Stachowski of Minnesota, and Jean Wilson of California; grandma, Arde Kjersten of Renville, MN and grandparents, Ray and Adelaide Feldman also of Renville, MN; and several cousins.

Laura was preceded in death by her grandfather, Glen Kjersten; uncle, Andy Kjersten; and aunt, Eunice Tebben.
