Kimothy Caldwell, age 49, of Huron, SD, died Thursday, November 1, 2012, at his home. His funeral service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Welter Funeral Home with burial at Riverside Cemetery with military honors provided by the Huron Veterans Council. Visitation with family present will be from 1-2 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Kimothy Jay Caldwell was born December 2, 1962 in Chicago, IL to Edward and Shirley (Jackson) Caldwell. When he was young, he was always willing to help the neighbors with mowing grass and scooping snow. Kimothy moved with his family in 1975 to Rapid City, SD. Kimothy attended Rapid City Central High School and graduated from Sturgis Brown High School. He joined the U.S. Army after high school and was stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA. He was Honorably Discharged in 1982 and move back to Rapid City. Kimothy move to Huron in 2000 and joined the Bradfield-Leary Center. Kimothy loved to go camping and fishing. He really enjoyed music and writing. At Christmas time, he always made sure everyone he knew had a present. Kimothy is survived by his mother, Shirley Caldwell of Rapid City; a brother, Anthony (Brenda) Moore El of Des Moines, IA; three sisters, Edie Caldwell of Chicago, IL, Keanna Caldwell of Sioux Falls, Melanie Watkins of Spearfish, SD; 4 nieces and 5 nephews. Kimothy was preceded in by both sets of grandparents; his father; two infant bothers; and one niece, Chantel Caldwell in 2011.
