Kim Edward Eining, age 64, of Summerset, SD, formerly of Iroquois, SD, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 8, 2019, in Fort Collins, CO.
His funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Friday, November 15, 2019, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron, SD with burial in the St Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Iroquois, SD.
Visitation with family present will be Thursday, November 14 from 5-7 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home in Huron, SD , with a Prayer Service and Rosary to begin at 6:30 pm; or visitation Friday morning one hour prior to the service at the church.
Kim Edward Eining, the son of Bill and Mary (Marsh) Eining Sr., was born on December 25, 1954 in Huron, SD. He attended school and graduated from Iroquois High School. Kim travelled the U.S. with his wife, living in Fargo, ND, Tulsa, OK, Columbia and Greenville, SC, St. Louis, MO, and Chicago, IL before returning to South Dakota. Kim always considered himself blessed to be returning again to South Dakota and living close to his family. Kim worked for various companies including Schneider Logistics, Reckitt and Benckiser, and Armour until his retirement in 2014
Kim married Becky Mundt on May 14, 1983, in Huron, SD.
Kim was a member of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking bread, cinnamon rolls, and fudge. Kim loved spending time with his family, friends, and his 'hairy' kids (dogs), and entertaining them at his family's home. Kim always enjoyed watching a good College Football game as well.
Grateful for having shared in Kim's life are his wife, Becky of Summerset, SD; his three children: Kimberly Dakota Eining of Brookings, SD, Ashley Marie Eining of Ft. Collins, CO and Colton Edward Eining of Summerset, SD; siblings: Bill (Janice) Eining of Huron, SD, Sandi (Marlen) Winter of St. Lawrence, SD, Greg Eining of St. Lawrence, SD, Sharon (Bruce Heitman) Eining of Sioux Falls, Traci (Bryan) Flanigan of Urbandale, IA, Steve Eining of Elkton, SD, Joe Eining of Dell Rapids, SD, Keith (Jodie) Eining of Dell Rapids, SD, and Lori (Jamie) Reetz of Webster, SD; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts; and sisters-in-law: Pam Gorman of Sturgis, SD and Paula (Richard) Tressler of New River, AZ.
Kim was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Mary Eining and his parents-in-law, Paul and Beulah Mundt; brothers-in-law; Smokey (Allen) Norris and Rick Gorman.
