Kelsey N. Jenks, age 7, of Sioux Falls and formerly of Huron, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at home. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Welter Funeral Home with burial at Riverside Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial service at the Huron Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Tuesday at Welter Funeral Home; or one hour prior to the funeral service. Kelsey was born August 21, 2007 in Huron, SD and moved to Sioux Falls in May 2014. Kelsey, also affectionately known as "Millie", was a sweet lovable little girl that touched many lives. Her fighting spirit far exceeded the short life expectation she was given. She loved company, being read to and getting mani and pedis. She also loved to listen to Katy Perry, shopping, and just being on the go in general. She always enjoyed cuddles and kisses from her family, but she especially lit up when her mom would snuggle up to her cute face, kiss, and talk to her. Everyone who ever spent at least five minutes with Kelsey, walked away a better person. She will be missed by many. Grateful for having shared her life are parents, Tom Jenks of Huron and Nikole Osman Jenks of Sioux Falls, siblings: Cameron, Alex, Molli, and Taylar Jenks, all of Sioux Falls, and Grandmothers, Sharon Jenks of Rapid, SD, and Sharon Gleeson of Sioux Falls. She was also loved by aunts, uncles, and many cousins. She was greeted in heaven by grandparents Betty Hufford, Everitt Osman, and Darrell Jenks.
