Keith E. Rowen, age 83, of Tulare, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron. A celebration of Keith's life will be held at a later date.

Keith Earl Rowen was born on June 10, 1937 in Beadle County to parents Earl A. and Louette "Letts" K. (Heller) Rowen. He attended Harris Country School and Wessington Schools thru graduation.

Keith married Shirley Dunnick on February 2, 1958 in Wolsey. The family made their home in Wessington before moving to Tulare in 1985. Keith farmed for many years, worked at Armours for 15 years and then bought the Tulare service until his retirement in 1999.

Keith enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, yard work, camping, and happy hour. He was involved with Wessington Masonic Temple, Yelduz Shriners, and Wessington First Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 grandsons, Kyle Rowen, Jay and Joshua Herdman; mother and father-in-law, Edward and Esther Dunnick.

Grateful for having shared in his life is his wife Shirley of Tulare; children, Scott (Kathy) Rowen of Wolsey, Mike (Lynne) Rowen of College Station, TX, and Debra (Dale) Herdman of Wessington; 7 grandchildren, Jeremie (Clover) Herdman, Andrew (Taylor) Herdman, Kristi Rowen, Kami (Tommy Testerman) Rowen, Kolby Rowen, Matt Rowen, and Cole Rowen; 3 step-grandchildren, Lindsay (Kevin) Haider, Destiny (Shane) Finn, Jacob (Amanda) Price; 4 great-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Lyle (Hazel) Rowen of Wessington, Joan Daugherty of Huron, Larry (Deanne) Rowen of Wessington, and Barb (Bob) Lager of Miller.
