Keith A. Kruse, age 68, of 627 Simmons Ave. SE, Huron, died on Friday May 23, 2008 at the Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron. His funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 27th at the American Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Wessington Springs. Visitation is scheduled for. Monday, May 26th, from 3:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron with the family present from 6:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home, or one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Keith Kruse the son of Albert and Gladys (Fritz) Kruse, was born on August 15, 1939 in Alpena, SD. He graduated from Lane High School. Keith served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. Keith married Linda Whitlock on June 8, 1968 in Wessington Springs, SD. Keith worked for Trussbilt as a machinist for many years. Keith was very much a family man, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed gardening and woodworking. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Linda, Huron, SD; two sonsGreg (Angie) Kruse, Sioux Falls, SD, and James (Johnny) Kruse, White River, SD; a granddaughter, Nichelle Kruse; his mother Gladys Kruse, Mitchell, SD; two brothers, Marlin (Gwen) Kruse, Florida, and Paul (Julie) Kruse , Minnesota; four sisters, Roxanne Brunsen, Mitchel, SD, Dorcas Sammons, Michigan, Randee (Gary) Beigh, Woonsocket, SD, and Jean Nitzel, Texas; and many other relatives Keith was preceded in death by his father, Albert; sister and brother in law, June and Bob Godfrey; two brothers in law, David and Gary Whitlock; and his mother in law, Lillian Pederson.
