Keith Houck, age 49, of Cavour, son of Don and Lois Houck passed away suddenly on May 31, 2016.

His memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Riverview United Methodist Church in Huron, with burial at a later date.

Visitation, with the family present, will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, June 14, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron, with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 p.m.; or visitation one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Keith Houck, the son of Don and Lois (Atkins) Houck, was born on November 16, 1966 in Sioux Falls, SD.  He attended school and graduated from Wolsey High School.  He also attended Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, SD, where he received his auto mechanic degree.

Keith worked for Culligan Soft Water, A-OX Welding, and Prostrollo Motors, before starting his own mechanic business.

Keith enjoyed hunting and spending time with his two dogs, Cochise and Koda, who accompanied Keith where ever he went. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Keith was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it.

Grateful for having shared in Keith's life are his parents, Don and Lois Houck of Wolsey; sister, Shawn (Stuart) Adermann of Huron; his nephew, Caleb; niece, McKenzie; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Jessie Houck and Ralph and Leola Atkins; and two uncles, Ervin and Bill Houck.
