Keith "KC" Hagerman, age 88, of Huron, SD, died Thursday, December 22, 2011, at his home of cancer. His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 26, at First United Methodist Church with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery and military rites by the Huron Veterans Council. Visitation will be Monday morning one hour prior to the service at the church. Keith Charles Hagerman, son of Ernest and Esther (Wehrostein) Hagerman, was born on May 3, 1923, in Sioux City, IA. He graduated from high school in the Morningside section of Sioux City; then attended college for 2 years in Chillicothe, MO, graduating with a degree in bookkeeping. He entered the U.S. Navy during World War II on Octoner 27, 1941, and following his service he was honorably discharged. He worked for 40 years for the C&NW Railroad in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. He retired in Huron in 1983. During his retirement he repaired many clocks, plus he built an assortment of differently designed clocks, including over 20 grandfather clocks. He married Edna Huff in 1944. He married Maxine Woodworth in 1981. In 1995 KC married Inez Baseley. He is survived by his wife, Inez of Huron; 2 daughters, Judy (Dick) Rogers of Wessington, and Sharon (Jesse) Vela of Richardson, TX; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and 1 brother. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first 2 wives, Edna and Maxine; and 1 brother.
