Katie J. Waldner, age 84, of Riverside Colony, Huron passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at her home. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2014, at the Riverside Colony, Huron, with burial at the Riverside Colony Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18 at the Riverside Colony. Katie was born in Bon Homme Colony on September 1, 1930. Katie married Jake Waldner on November 19, 1950 at Riverside Colony. Grateful for having shared in Katie's life are her seven sons: Jackie (Kathryn). Larry (Betty) both of Riverside Colony, Timothy (Lori) of Roscoe, SD, Harold of Sioux Falls, SD, George of Sydney, IL, Raymond of Roscoe, SD, and Conrad of Antigo, WI; four daughters: Sarah of Riverside Colony, Linda (Melvin) of Rosedale Colony, Bertha (Brian) of Colorado Springs, CO, And Kathryn (Pete) of Altona, MN; 33 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and brother, Harold (Sarah) Hofer of Golden View Colony, Salem, SD. Katie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jake; five brothers: David, Jacob, George, Samuel , And Herman; and seven sisters
