Kathy K. Quam, age 58, of Huron, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Kathy Koreen Quam was born on September 2, 1962 in Madison, South Dakota to parents Merlin and Sharon (Lefdal) Quam.

Kathy had many hobbies and enjoyed shopping, crafts, painting bird houses, and gaming on her ipad. She liked watching wrestling, movies, and listening to country music. Kathy loved spending time with her family and interacting with people in the community. She was always happy and optimistic and had a positive outlook on life.

Grateful for having shared in her life is her father, Merlin of Wolsey; siblings, Lonnie Quam of Miller, Shay Quam of Wolsey, and Rechelle "Shelley" (Rodney) Frank of Wolsey; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Sharon in 2001.
