Kathy A. Haak, age 61, of Huron, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron. Her Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7 PM on Monday evening at the funeral home.

Kathy was born on April 1, 1961 in Gettysburg, South Dakota to Phillip and Shirley (Tobin) Hinckley. She attended country school and graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1979.

She married Allan Haak on June 6, 1981 in Dell Rapids. They lived in Flandreau, Faulkton and later moved to Huron. Kathy loved to go camping, rummage sales and auctions. Family meant everything to her. Her greatest joy was her three sons and even more joy were her four grandchildren. She loved to be on the internet and visiting with her family and to be with her dogs.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband of 41 years, Allan, her sons Jared (Amber), Justin (JT Dana) and Andrew (Haley), all of Huron; her grandchildren, Lakynn of Pierre, Anthony, Keagan and Reese, all of Huron; her parents-in-law, Jerome and Betty Haak of Dell Rapids; her siblings, Peggy (Scott) Nash of Rapid City, Don (Dawn) Hinckley of Gettysburg, and Mary (Bruce) Marengo of Williamsburg, DE; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bill Hinckley.
