Kathleen (Kay) Wilson, age 90, of Huron, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with burial to follow at St. Martins Cemetery in Huron.
Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 with a scripture service to begin at 6:30 PM at Welter Funeral Home; or visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Kathleen (Kay) M. Wilson was born on June 12, 1928 to parents Samuel and Josephine (Montfort) Parker in Lexinburg, Wisconsin. They lived in Huron where Kay went to St. Theresa school and graduated from Huron High School.
In 1949, she married Robert Wilson. They lived in eight states in the following 25 years. They moved back to Huron in 1975.
Kay worked as a volunteer Pink Lady at St. John's Hospital, as a librarian at St. Martin's school, in the lunchroom at Washington school, for RSVP, and at St. Francis shop for 13 years.
Kay was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert on 12/31/1989, her son James Wilson and a grandson Patrick Wilson.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Matt) Cameron of Wilmot, SD; four sons, Steven Wilson and David (Debra) Wilson, both of Bartelsville, OK, Mike (Lonna) Wilson of Tea, SD and Sam (Dawn) Wilson of Huron, and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
