Obituary
Kathleen K. Larsen, age 64, of Huron, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
Her funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Huron with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7 pm on Monday, November 14th at IWelter Funeral Home; or visitation one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Kathy was born on March 29, 1952 in Wessington Springs to Henry and Violet (Krumvieda) Madsen and lived in Woonsocket until moving to Huron as a child. She graduated from high school in Huron and then attended Northwest College of Commerce in Huron.

Kathy was born on March 29, 1952 in Wessington Springs to Henry and Violet (Krumvieda) Madsen and lived in Woonsocket until moving to Huron as a child. She graduated from high school in Huron and then attended Northwest College of Commerce in Huron.
Kathy was united in marriage to Clarence Kirton in 1970 in Huron and later married Terry Larsen on August 12, 1978 in Huron.
Kathy was a 30 year employee at Huron Regional Medical Center where she worked as an insurance processor before retiring due to her health. She took pride in taking care of her house and always had a sense of accomplishment; whether it was housekeeping duties or tending to her flowers inside and outside the house. She was very devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She cherished her husband and best friend, Terry and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren.
Kathy enjoyed playing cards, bingo, video lottery, reading, quilting, her favorite color Red, and Ford Mustang cars. Kathy was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Kathy is survived by her husband Terry Larsen of Huron; three sons, Jason (Rose) Kirton of Chattanooga, TN, Todd (Tanna) Kirton of Casper, WY, and Brent (Nicole) Larsen of Spearfish, SD; seven grandchildren, Samantha Kirton, John Kirton, Daniel Kirton, Trenton Hernandez , Byron Hernandez, Gracie Larsen, and Madison Larsen; four brothers, Kenny (Esther) Madsen of Huron, SD, LeRoy (Donna) Madsen of Huron, SD, Don (Donna) Madsen of Ft. Dodge, IA, and Larry (Judy) Madsen of Ladora, IA; two sisters, Janice Alderany of Denver, CO and Betty Kelchen of Cedar Rapids, IA; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother in infancy; and 1 sister, Rose Price.
