Katherina Naw, age 34, of 202 20th St. Apt. #11, Huron, died on Saturday, July 18, 2009 after a tragic accident at the Rose Hill Recreational Center, south of Wessington, SD.
Her funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Huron with burial at the Riverside Cemetery.
Vistitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Katherina Naw, the daughter of Chu Ter and Ell Ley was born in Burma. Katherina moved to Minnesota and then to Huron, SD. Katherina married Aung Naing in 2005 in St. Paul, MN. To this union was born Nang Zin Naing on June 12, 2008 in St. Paul, MN. Katherina worked as a homemaker and mother and took good care of her family. She had also worked part time as a nurses aide, and was currently working at Dakota Provisions.
Katherina enjoyed parties, going to church, and she loved to sing. Her goal was to have her own business one day. She also enjoyed spending time with her daughters, Dianna Chu and Nang Zin Naing, and her family and friends.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Aung Naing, daughter, Dianna Chu; brother, Bucho Shew, Huron, SD ; brother-in-law, Tha Taw, St. Paul, MN; and her four sisters: Kaw Paw, Huron, SD, Htoe Roe, St. Paul, MN, Lo Lha, Australia, and Momo Ler, Iowa.
Katherina was preceded in death by her daughter, Nang Zin Naing; her mother in 1997; her brother, Mo She; and her brother-in-law, Ta Lay.
