June Bucklin, age 59, of 364 3rd St. SW, Huron, died Sunday, May 6, 2007, at the Huron Nursing Home. Her memorial service will be at 8:00 PM this Tuesday evening, May 8, at the Welter Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Brandsrud officiating. There will be no visitation. June Bucklin was born June Lavonne Gardner on April 28, 1948, to Ralph and Agnes (Rempher) Gardner at Aberdeen, SD. She graduated from high school in Frederick, SD, in 1966. In 1966, June married Donald Richard Clark at Aberdeen. They lived in the Aberdeen area for many years where June worked as a cook for various restaurants. In 1989, June married Stan Bucklin at Huron. She continued for a time as a cook, then worked for many years as an assembler for Wilbrecht Electronics in Huron. She was a member of the American Cancer Society, and bowling leagues. Her many interests included crossword puzzles, reading, watching movies, flower gardening, ceramics and crafts. She is survived by her husband, Stan of Clovis, NM; 2 sons, Rossi (Sheree) Clark of Chicago, IL, and Rick Clark, Jr., of Cudahy, WI; 1 step-son, David Bucklin of Aberdeen; 4 grandchildren, Zachary Clark, Andrew A.J. Clark, Cori Clark, and Caitlin Clark; 1 brother, Carey Gardner of Aberdeen; 2 sisters, Carolyn Aho of Hutchinson, MN, and Deb (Tom) Kroger of Jacksonville, FL; 1 daughter-in-law, Mary Clark of Castlewood, SD; 7 nieces and nephews, Kailene (Scott) Frey of Huron, Krissy (Brett) Christiansen of Luverne, MN, Teresa Kroger of Jacksonville, FL, Darren Kroger of Hutchinson, MN, Jason (Laura) Gardner of Yankton, Julie Gardner of Aberdeen, and Josh Gardner of Aberdeen; and many great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Todd Clark; and 1 niece, Jennifer Gardner.
