Judy Ann (Hagerman) Rogers, age 73, of Wessington, SD passed away on Tuesday, September 17 at Edgewood Memory Care in Watertown, SD. Judy passed after a long battle with Parkinson's/Dementia. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church in Wessington with burial at McCord Cemetery in rural Wessington. Visitation with her family present will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, September 20 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Judy was born in Denison, IA on August 22, 1946 to Keith Charles (KC) and Edna Hagerman. KC worked for the railroad which moved the family to various locations throughout Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota during Judy's childhood. After moving 23 times, they eventually settled in Huron, SD where she graduated from high school in 1965. After graduation, she attended Stewarts School of Hair in Aberdeen, SD and received her cosmetology license. She owned and operated her own hair salon until 1980.

Judy married Clair Buesing in 1967. They had two daughters, Heather and Heidi. They later divorced. Judy traded-in her scissors and hair curlers and moved to greener acres and become a rancher's wife by marrying Dick Rogers of Wessington, SD on October 10, 1980. They united in love their two families of Cory, Shane, Heather, Heidi and later having Darcy.

Judy loved her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed watching all their activities. Dick and Judy kept their lives full with wagon trains, "Fun Day" horse shows, rodeos, horse pulls, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Camper Club, card games of Pitch and many hours of chatting around the kitchen-table with family and friends.

Anyone who knew Judy would remember her infectious laugh and her spunky attitude. She was fiercely loved and will be sorely missed by all of us.

She is survived by her husband Dick Rogers of Wessington, SD; children and grandchildren,  Cory (Tricia) Rogers of Wessington, SD, (Tyler (Kayla) Rogers and Courtney (Joey) Beck), Shane (Carey) Rogers of Las Vegas, NV, (Jacob & Joshua),  Heather (Clint) Cowan of Frisco, TX, (Cade & Eli) , Heidi (Jason) O'Mara of Moville, IA (Aidan, Noah, Ella, Michale & Clara), Darcy (Jarrod) Pommer of Willow Lake, SD (Cooper, Bennett & McCoy); and sister, Sharron Vella (Jesse) Dallas, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, KC and Edna Hagerman and step-mother, Maxine Hegerman.
