Judy Kindle, age 78, of Woonsocket, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Her Memorial Service will be on Thursday, October 17, at 10:30 AM at Welter Funeral Home with a private burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Judy Kay Kindle was born on July 24, 1941 in Huron to parents Willis R. and Ella Mae (Rounds) Drake. Judy grew up in the Iroquois area attending Iroquois High School. Judy married Harlan Wells in Iroquois in 1959 and had four children. They later divorced. Judy married Gary Kindle in 1969 and he passed away in 1978.

Judy owned and operated Al's Place for 40 years and operated it until her passing. Her neighbors and customers became her friends throughout the years. Judy had a strong Christian faith. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, and salad making. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Judy is survived by her children; Doug (Lisa) Wells of Rapid City, Scott Wells of Woonsocket, Sherri (Steve) Gerry of Moorcroft, WY, and Rob (Holly) Wells of Colorado Springs, CO; Nine grandchildren and 13 Great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim (Jo) Drake of Hawaii, Jerry Drake of Colorado, Danny (Jody) Drake of Colorado, Junelle (Chuck) Marso, of Sioux Falls and Denis (Terri) Drake of Huron.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gary, and Dick Hopper, her very special friend for many years, and her sister Dixie Carmody.
