Juanita Better, age 85, of Huron, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Huron Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. A private family service will be held as requested by Juanita.

Juanita L. Osterhoudt was born on May 10, 1933 in Des Moines, Washington to Del and Wally Osterhoudt.

Juanita met the love of her life, Luverne Better and they were married on March 11, 1954 in Des Moines, Washington. Juanita was a farm wife for most of her life as well as working as a secretary for Civil Service. Juanita also helped Luverne with his band and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Grateful for having shared in Juanita's life are her sister-in-law, Betty Jean Flolo; nieces Dixie Dunnick and Vickie (Teri) Zwieg of Huron; nephews Doug Stokes of Des Moines, WA and Rodney (Marsha) Dunnick of Sioux Falls and many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Juanita was preceded in death by her loving husband Luverne of 64 years in April 2018; her parents; parents-in-law; sister Billie Jean Stokes; brothers-in-law Tom Flolo and O.J. Stokes; niece Cindy Lou Dunnick, great nephews Toby Huber and Mitchell Dunnick; great-great niece Dacotah Kouf and great-great nephew Dominic Huber.
