Mrs. Robert (Joyce) I. Patridge, age 71, of Rapid City, SD, died on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Rapid City, SD. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 15th at the Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City, SD with Rev. Herb Cleveland officiating. Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening at the Welter Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be at 10:00 AM Monday at the Wessington Cemetery in Wessington, SD. Arrangements are with Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City and Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Joyce Patridge was born Joyce Irene Hein on February 7, 1935, to Nels and Margaret Hein near DeSmet, SD. She had 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She married Robert (Bob) Patridge on April 4, 1954 in Huron, SD. They had 6 children. She and her family spent many wonderful weekends camping with friends. She enjoyed doing crafts and painting ceramics. She earned her GED with her oldest granddaughter, Laura in 1995. The entire family was so proud of her accomplishment. Her family and friends were extremely important to her. She and her husband spent many years caring for foster children in Huron and in Rapid City, SD. She had several jobs throughout her career, most recently she was employed at NU Robbinsdale Casino. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Bob, her children Robin Peterson (Larry) of Pierre, Judy Weed (Bob) of Piedmont, Steven Patridge (Carol) of Rapid City, Aletha Maki (Don) of Rapid City and daughter in law, Glenda Patridge of Park City, Montana, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren as well as special friends including Carol and Sharon. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Guy Jr. and William (Bill), her parents Margaret and Nels Hein and one brother Nels Hein Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to Joyces family.
