Johnna Rae Waldner, age 53, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital in Miller, SD. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday September 25, 2015 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Huron. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church on Friday. Johnna Rae Brodkorb, the daughter of Robert and Ruth (DeJong) Brodkorb was born on April 10, 1962 in Huron, SD. She attended school and graduated from Wolsey High School. Johnna was hard working having worked as the Environmental Services Director for Good Samaritan Healthcare Center in Miller, SD for 28 years. Johnna married Moses Waldner on August 6, 1982 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Huron, SD Johnna was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Wolsey Legion Women's Auxiliary. Johnna enjoyed camping, fishing and her dogs, Maggie and Peaches. She also loved flowers and gardening. Her greatest enjoyment was the times she spent with her family and grandchildren. Grateful for having shared in Johnna's life are her husband, Moses of Wessington, SD; children: Roxanne (Jeff) Collins of Denver, CO, Robin Waldner of Brookings, SD, and Ryan (Stacy) Waldner of Shakopee, MN; four grandchildren: Avry and Brianna Fischer and Thomas and Mackenzie Collins; her parents, Robert and Ruth Brodkorb of Wolsey, SD ; sister Debora (LaDean) Kleinsasser of Wessington, SD; sister-in-law, Dianna Brodkorb of Long Beach, MS; and several nieces and nephews.
