Obituary
John B. Schumacher, age 71, of Huron, SD, died peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2011, at the Huron Regional Medical Center of Huron.
The family will hold his Memorial Service on March 31, 2011, at Mary Queen of the Universe Church in Orlando, FL. For more information call Judy Lamke at 1-407-935-9305.
John was born December 12, 1939, in Huron to the late Clarence and Louise (Buchanan) Schumacher. He graduated from Huron High School in 1958, and attended the University of South Dakota. He had 5 children: Lori (Scott) Olson of Huron; Kyle (Al) Stoner of Blackhawk; John Buchanan Bucky (Cindy) of Sioux Falls; Abby (Joe) Parlett of Vermillion; and Jason (Sandy) of Sioux Falls. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Johns passion was inventing, and he had patented many of his inventions. John was also the proprietor of John Bs Tavern in Huron from 1966-1970.
John was a cheerful and outgoing person who loved to laugh and have a good time. He will be missed and held in our hearts forever.
John is also survived by his sisters, Mary Ann (Peter) Madel of Waseca, MN; Judy Lamke of Kissimmee; FL, and Patsy (Phil) Ehret of Stuart, FL, and by a niece and many nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Helen Buchanan Wing of the Huron Schools.
