The co-burial service of the cremated remains of Judy Schumacher-Lamke, age 71, of Kissimmee, FL, and formerly of Huron, who died August 22, 2013, and the cremated remains of her brother, John Schumacher, age 70, of Huron, who died February 21, 2011, will be held jointly at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, at St. Martin Cemetery in Huron. There will be no visitation. John Schumacher John B Schumacher, age 70, of Huron, SD, died on Monday, February 21, 2011, at Huron Regional Medical Center. John was born December 12, 1939, in Huron, to Clarence and Louise (Buchanan) Schumacher. He graduated from Huron High School in 1958 and attended the University of South Dakota. John's passion was inventing, and he had patented many of his inventions. John was also the proprietor of John B's Tavern in Huron from 1966-1970. He had 5 children, Lori (Scott) Olson of Huron, Kyle (Al) Stoner of Blackhawk, John Buchanan "Bucky" (Cindy) of Sioux Falls, Abby (Joe) Parlett of Vermillion, and Jason (Sandy) of Sioux Falls; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; Mary Ann (Peter) Madel of Waseca, MN, Judy Lamke of Kissimmee, FL (died August 22, 2013), and Patsy (Phil) Ehret of Stuart, FL; and by a niece and many nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents. Judy Schumacher-Lamke Judy Schumacher Lamke, age 71, of Kissimmee, FL, formerly of Huron, died on August 22, 2013, in Kissimmee, following a lengthy illness. Judy was born on January 10, 1942, to Clarence and Louise Schumacher in Huron, SD. She graduated from Huron High School in 1960 and attended the University of South Dakota. Judy was blessed with numerous artistic talents and a beautiful singing voice. She starred in numerous plays her proudest was starring in "My Fair Lady" inwhich she had the lead role at the Huron Country Club under the direction of the late Helen Buchanan. Judy worked for 12 years as the Administrative Assistant for Congressman Dan Rostenkowski of IL, who was Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. She is survived by two sons Jim (Laura) Lamke of Skillman, NJ, and Jeff (Katie) Lamke of Merritt Island, FL; 8 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Ann (Peter) Madel of Waseca, MN, and Patsy (Philip) Ehret ofStuart, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, John.
