Jo Ann Polly, age 92, of Huron, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Avantara in Huron. Her Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning prior to the service.

Jo Ann was born on December 20, 1933, in Huron, South Dakota, to Joseph E. and Bessie M. (Miller) Bowder. She attended Huron schools.

On March 9, 1951, she married Ralph D. Bloodgood at First Presbyterian Church in Huron. Together they raised two daughters, Beckie and Karen, and made their home on the Bloodgood family farm. As a devoted farmwife and homemaker, Jo Ann took great pride in caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. Ralph passed away in 1994.

Jo Ann later married Duard Dalmer Polly, and they made their home in Huron. She enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her flowers, quilting, and decorating for Christmas. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and loved creating memories with those she held dear. Jo Ann was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Beckie Bloodgood (Ken) Boetel of Rapid City and Karen Bloodgood (Glenn) Dick of Huron; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Maggie) Dick of Huron, Nathan Dick of Huron, Audrey Dick of Alpena, Lori (Michael) Holst of Cheyenne, WY, and Jodi (Paul) Richter of New Underwood, SD; nine great-grandchildren, Chloe, Marissa, Ethan, Bryce, Breinn, Emmitt, Grace, Liam, and Harley; her sisters, Cora Lee and Mollie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; sister Betty Lou (Collins) Mcclanahan, and infant twin son and daughter.
